the well

“I have been attending ‘Treat for several years.  Reconnecting every year with Karen, other alumni, and welcoming new members and teachers to our circle has transformed my understanding of self-care, deepening it into self-love.  Gatherings at The Well keep the magic, wisdom, and belonging going all year long.”  – Christine T.

Inspired by the bonds and connections made at each retreat, and not wanting to wait a whole year until the next one, I created a container to keep our circle strong, but open, inclusive, expansive and present.
To keep learning, to make self-care sacred, to support one another – throughout the year.

This container is called The Well.

The Well is a bi-monthly-ish series of gatherings for the women of ‘treat and a private Facebook group.

The 3-hour events are (mainly) in my Union Square studio (we also do some field trips!) and embody the tenets of ‘treat: community, learning, nutrition, self-care, body, mind, spirit, women in circle.

This is an opportunity to really stay in connected with your tribe and meet other ‘treat beauties from previous years. You’ll learn new and varied self-care and self-love modalities that address the body as a whole magical being. You’ll have an on-going touch-stone for where you are in your life and what you need to keep the ‘treat spirit present in your life.

Each gathering includes fresh, healthy light food and herbal tea, an opening and closing ritual, discussion in circle and occasionally a workshop lead by a guest guide.

Past gatherings have included:
• discussions such as sovereignty, failure, asking for support, commitments, self-compassion & transitions
• chakra meditation, group mandala making, shamanic drumming
• finding our voice with combined sound, movement and the alexander technique
• shedding our body stories through writing and drawing and gaining alignment with pilates
• nature walk and foraging trip in Prospect Park

**All ‘treat alumni receive a year of gatherings for The Well upon registration for this year’s ‘treat.

“You did a great job of creating a safe space for all sorts of people to come together and make magic! You brought together a group of people who were sometimes coming from very different places, but who were able to find the areas of connection and to feel as if they were all part of one happy tribe.”
– Mia P.
